The kid of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin has "very seriously" broken his arm.
The couple – who have Carmen, eight, Rafael, six, Leonardo, five, Romeo, three, Eduardo, sixteen months, and Maria, thirteen months – spent several hours in the hospital with their eldest son after he suffered the painful injury while playing at the park, and the pregnant yoga instructor has warned that her little boy faces a "long recovery road.""Rafa broke his arm extremely badly yesterday, playing at the park," she captioned a photo of Alec with their kid at the hospital on Instagram. I just wanted to let you know that you'll be seeing him with a cast for quite some time…
"It's one of the most heartbreaking aspects of becoming a parent." We were with the babies at the time, and getting that call made my heart sink. 'I want my mama,' he said softly over the phone. Even the 20 minutes it takes to get to him is too long. Nothing prepares us for not being able to instantly alleviate their anguish and fear, right?
"We stayed at the hospital till late in the evening and then made a bed on our floor" (wild sleeper, was afraid he might fall off our bed). Last night, I'm not sure how many times he called out for me. I overheard him telling himself over and over that he had broken his arm. While it will be a long road to recovery, we are happy to know that he is on his way. (sic)"
Hilaria also thanked the hospital workers for their care of Rafael.
"Thank you for taking such fantastic care of our kid, Lennox Hill emergency room," she wrote. Thank you for your competence and friendliness, physicians and nurses."
Last month, the couple revealed they are expecting their second child.
"Somos un buen equipo" is etched on their wedding bands, they added in a statement. That we're a good team is something we say to each other all the time at home.
"One of the most lovely things my kids have seen growing up in a huge family is how the heart can expand with each additional sibling."
