Ukraine's government has condemned Russia's missile attack on Kyiv on Thursday night, which happened as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was leaving the Ukrainian capital.
In his daily video address, President Volodymyr Zelensky declared: "Russian missiles were launched into Kyiv today, right after our meetings [with Guterres] concluded. A total of five missiles are available. This reveals a lot about Russia's true attitude toward international organizations, as well as the Russian leadership's efforts to degrade the UN and everything it stands for. As a result, a suitable and forceful response is required."
"Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian cities such as Kyiv, Fastiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, and others show that the battle is far from ended. We must continue to struggle, and the occupiers must be driven out "according to Zelensky
"During the meeting with @antonioguterres in Kyiv, we heard explosions," Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said in a tweet. The Russian capital was hit by a missile strike. I am confident that the UN Secretary-General will appropriately evaluate the occupier's rebellious behavior. #Ukraine's war is a threat to global security!"
