Patrick Xavier Clark, the man accused of shooting Takeoff to death, has just been charged with murder.
A Texas grand jury charged Clark with murder. The Harris County District Attorney's Office informed KHOU on Thursday.
You may be aware that Takeoff, who was out with Quavo that night at a Houston bowling alley, was shot and died back in November. An initial celebration deteriorated into a dispute, which then resulted in physical violence and a fatal gunshot.
In December, Houston PD detained Clark on the grounds that he had fired the fatal shots.
Keep in mind that Takeoff was shot in the head and torso, according to the coroner's findings. Takeoff was injured by gunfire despite not having a weapon and being an innocent spectator, according to the police.
In early January, Clark was released from the Harris County Jail after paying a $1 million bond, as we previously reported.
The news first surfaced on TMZ. Clark has already requested $5,000 from the court to engage a private investigator to help him prepare his defense, claiming he lacks the funds to do so.
