(VIDEO) CUSTOMERS NOT IN FAVOR OF CARDI B & OFFSET’s MCDONALD COMMERCIAL

Even if McDonald's customers love Cardi B and Offset's date night meal package, some McDonald's franchisees still believe they are bad for business.

According to the stats, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but according to Fortune, some of the brand's franchisees are up in arms about the collaboration with the hip hop musicians because their music contains profanity and isn't "family safe."

The grimacing franchisees are even citing the company's "Golden Arches Code" (yeah, they have one) which states that partnerships with celebrities and influencers are not allowed if they could potentially harm the company's brand due to statements they have made or their positions on particular issues.

Music collaborations connected to songs that contain abusive language are likewise prohibited, according to another clause of the Code.

In order to promote Offset and Cardi's meal deal, McDonald's dropped a package, spending at least $7 million on Super Bowl commercial time. It seems to have paid off.

There have been concerns about the endorsement contract, according to insiders at Mickey D's, but they don't anticipate any action to be taken as long as it is effectively attracting so many younger consumers, as we saw last month in Times Square.

For what it's worth, 95% of all McDonald's restaurants are owned by franchisees.
