The Real Name of Ivanka Trump Isn’t What You Might Think

1

Ivanka Trump is well-known throughout the world for being the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump (and her rumored favorite kid). Ivana Trump, Donald's first wife and the mother of his oldest three children, gave birth to her in Manhattan in 1981. Ivanka was raised as the middle child, trapped between her two brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric, and she personally saw her parents' infamously contentious divorce in 1992, when she was just 10 years old.

Ivanka has a well-known (and occasionally infamous) tight relationship with her father, resulting in a (unpaid) job in his administration and a prominent position on the campaign trail, despite the fact that she was obviously named after her mother. Unsurprisingly, Ivanka has also established herself as one of the most significant figures in her father's inner circle during his presidency.

Ivanka isn't the daughter of the former president; this may surprise many of the Trumps' supporters. Her birth name, which has an intriguing backstory, is actually probably not what you think.Ivanka Trump was named after her mother, Ivana Trump, as most people are probably aware. But contrary to what you might imagine, her real name is a lot closer to her mother's name. In actuality, it's Ivana Trump, the same name as her mother. According to a tweet from Ivanka from 2010, "Ivanka" is a diminutive form of "Ivana" in Slavic, comparable to the English words "Bobby" and "Robert." Ivana, a Czech immigrant who passed away in July, tried to teach her children how to speak the language. Despite her older brother, Donald Jr., speaking Czech fluently, Ivanka has admitted that she speaks it "poorly."Ivana stated that, rather than Donald, it was she who chose the names for the children in her 2017 biography "Raising Trump." According to ABC News, she wrote, "This is going to be what it is." We obtained the inheritance rights for the Trump Tower from Tiffany [& Co.], so [Donald] decided to call Ivanka Tiffany. "I carry my daughter for nine months, and this is what's going to be," he said. As Trump supporters are undoubtedly well aware, Donald and Marla Maples eventually prevailed in this argument, and their only child was given the name Tiffany.

Four years after Donald Jr. was given his father's name, Ivana insisted on using her own name (with Ivanka's middle name, Marie, even a diminutive of her mother's middle name, Maria). Donald, however, did not choose this. She chose the names for all three of her children, as Ivana Trump stated in her memoir. This is why it may come as a surprise to many of his supporters that Donald Trump did not choose to name his oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., after himself; in fact, he was strongly against it. However, many people are unlikely to be surprised when they learn the cause.Ivana stated in "Raising Trump" that she intended to give their first child Donald's name, but when he expressed objection, she questioned why. She reported that he asked, "How about if he's a loser?" But like Ivanka, she persisted and succeeded. It's unclear whether Trump thinks his eldest son is a loser or not, especially considering his infamously strong preference for Ivanka. Nevertheless, he is undoubtedly one of his father's biggest supporters and frequently campaigned for him in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

As the first kid he had following Ivana, with Marla Maples, Trump naturally got to name his daughter Tiffany after the renowned jewelers, and he continued his habit of Trump names with the birth of his youngest son Barron with Melania in 2006. Naturally, "barron," when spelled with one fewer "r," is frequently used to refer to British nobility, who are frequently called "Lords."
