While the audience at the Oscars was gracious, Twitter gave Tems a hard time for obscuring the view of others sitting behind her.
The Nigerian artist, who was in attendance on Sunday for her musical contribution to 'Wakanda Forever,' had one of the more striking outfits at the ceremony: a huge white dress that protruded upward at her shoulders, giving her the appearance of a human flower.
The issue was that when she sat down, her outburst sort of caused a great diversion for everyone else in the rows behind her as well as for watchers on screen.
Many times during the show, you could see individuals standing just behind Tems looking over her shoulder to catch a peek of the stage or of Kimmel. They had to do peek-arounds to view the action because of her outfit, which was quite amusing. It doesn't seem like anyone spoke to her.
The same can't be said for the bird app … 'cause a lot of users there were pretty angry at the fact that she wore something so big, and which would presumably cause some blind spots in the theater. A bunch called it "rude" … others found it hilarious. Mixed bag.
Tems hasn't said anything about it herself … and probably doesn't have to. Outrage comes and goes, and this will blow over soon enough
