According to the late rapper’s sister, the connection between the former president and the renowned Tupac Shakur made by Donald Trump’s attorney is ridiculous and hilarious.
According to Set Shakur, Tupac’s sister, “My brother was measured by his integrity, his beliefs and personal and collective responsibility,” and she calls the latest remarks made by Alina Habba, Trump’s attorney, “blasphemous.”
She notes that her brother accepted responsibility during his 1994 sexual abuse trial and claims that DT hasn’t shown nearly as much accountability.
As we previously reported, the connection was made by Trump’s lawyer the day before he travelled to New York City for his indictment. She claimed that, similar to how Tupac’s album sales increased after serving time in prison, his legal troubles will increase his polling ratings.
Set claims that Tupac’s popularity increased because individuals who listened to his songs “were able to measure him by his words and actions that corresponded,” not because of his incarceration.
She continues by praising her late brother as a honest man who stood up for those in need of protection and was always thinking about others.
Set believes DT’s attorney might be invoking Tupac’s name as a ploy to play to the rapper’s fans … and she’s hoping they don’t take the bait.
