Oprah Winfrey might be the country’s “shared denominator,” according to Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama is complimenting her "great friend" Oprah Winfrey, describing her as a "unifying force" amid a polarized America.

In Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People of 2022" issue, which was released Monday, the former first lady wrote a tribute to Winfrey.

"Whether she's chatting to pop stars, presidents, schoolgirls, intellectuals — or she's asking you about your life over a glass of wine in the family room," Obama wrote of the former talk show presenter.

Obama stated, "That is her secret." "But what I like most about Oprah is that she has never been satisfied with keeping it all to herself."

"When Oprah identifies with something — a person, a book, a song, or an idea — she makes it a point to spotlight it. It is confirmed by her. Obama said, "She anoints it.""When Oprah is involved, there is no pretense, no fluff – whether it's her arts and media work or her charity efforts on health care, food equity, and other issues."According to the former executive mansion resident, Winfrey encourages people to "think critically about our society and how it works, reminding us of our shared humanity, and challenging us to take our wins and failings, pride and vulnerability—and make it all visible."

Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign was famously endorsed by Winfrey.

On Monday, Michelle Obama said on Twitter that 68-year-old Winfrey holds a "amazing legacy," despite years of speculation about a prospective political candidacy.

"Everyone knows her name regardless of where you go," Obama wrote in Time.

"And it makes me wonder if her success isn't rooted in the fact that she finds a common denominator that brings us all together," Obama remarked.

"Perhaps Oprah is the unifying factor."
