LeBron James and Chevy Chase shared a passionate embrace on the court at Crypto.com Arena during the Suns-Lakers game on Wednesday night. The two celebrities had just met each other for the first time.
Chase, a longtime Lakers supporter who attended games frequently during the "Showtime Era," was invited to the Western Conference matchup between Phoenix and L.A. by Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis, Kurt Rambis' wife.
King James is still out with a foot ailment, so Chevy didn't get to see LeBron play, but the 79-year-old comic still had some face time with the Lakers star, and the two seemed to enjoy each other's company.
When he wasn't conversing with LeBron, Chase was snapping pictures courtside with Jeanie and her fiancé, actor and comedian Jay Mohr. Chase attended the game with his agent, Darren Prince.
Odell Beckham Jr., a free agent wide receiver for the NFL, and artist Lil Wayne were also courtside to witness Devin Booker and Chris Paul square off against Anthony Davis.
Chase had plenty of reasons to smile Wednesday … in addition to meeting James, he got to witness the Lakers defeat the Suns, 122-111 — keeping their playoff hopes alive.
