Luke Valentine, a competitor on "Big Brother 25," sparked some tension when he used the N-word in the middle of a chat with some other housemates.
Luke added, "We were in the f****** (inaudible) room, n****," when speaking to participants Jared, Cory, and Hisam in the early hours of Wednesday. Luke instantly realizes his error and attempts to repair it by saying "dude" before laughing it off.

Rightfully so, Cory and Hisam become uneasy right away. Luke apologizes after turning to face Jared, who is Black. Cory and Hisam didn't join in the laughter and instead left, leaving Luke and Jared alone. It seemed to irritate them.
Jared responds to Luke's slur with, "I don't give a f***," which is a startling lack of care for the seeming gaffe. It's likely that he was trying to maintain his composure for game purposes.
It has happened quite a bit over the years, especially in 2018 when houseguest Kaitlyn shouted it while citing Drake's "0 to 100." White people using the N-word on "BB" has become a recurring issue.
By the way, producers recently issued a language warning to the cast after 2 candidates expressed concern that their tans would make them appear "ghetto."
Luke has experienced circumstances similar to those promised by CBS, but it's not clear if he will be made to leave the show any time soon.
We've contacted CBS, but we haven't heard back yet.
