According to certain well-known Jewish organizations, Kanye West's claim that watching an old Jonah Hill film made him like Jews again does not eliminate his racism.
StopAntisemitism, a watchdog organization, and the American Jewish Committee both tell us that they need to see much more from Kanye than just a simple social media post to believe he is sincere in his new feelings towards Jews. They are both willing to meet with him to discuss next steps while also urging him to do much more to demonstrate that he has changed.

"Kanye's joke about a movie with Jonah Hill is not the apology that the Jewish people need from him, especially when his antisemitic tirades continue to have a deadly trickle-down impact of hatred towards Jews," SA's Executive Director Liora Rez told TMZ.
Remember that just a few months ago, Kanye tweeted about going "death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE," expressed his love for Hitler, and frequented the company of white nationalist Nick Fuentes. It is arrogant to suggest that a Jonah Hill movie altered his perspective.
Kanye can still be forgiven, according to Liora Rez, whose watchdog organization designated him the "Antisemite of the Year" for 2022. She suggests starting by publicly criticizing Fuentes because forgiving is a core Jewish tenet.
Kanye isn't being quickly pardoned by the AJC either, according to TMZ's Richard Hirschhaut. "It seems strange that Kanye might only need to watch an 11-year-old Jonah Hill movie to repent of his heinous antisemitism. Only Kanye knows for sure if he is honest."
The AJC claims that Kanye still has a lot of explaining and apologizing to do, but they are open to meeting with him in his attempt to move on, do the right thing, and improve himself—if he is being sincere.
