A historic moment would have occurred when the two superstars came together inside the Booby Trap On the River, but thousands of fans were anticipating him on stage in Brazil to close out performances by Rosala, Tove Lo, Armin Van Buuren, and others.
Skrillex swiftly took Drake's position on the lineup, which, as you can think, displeased some fans.
The event apologized, noting that Drake lacked the equipment to deliver a flawless performance, and gave Day 3 ticket holders the option of receiving a refund.
According to a translated post on the festival's social media, "Drake is missing members of his sound and production crew, crucial to the execution of the Lollapalooza event in Sao Paulo, due to unforeseen circumstances. Drake was eager to play for his Brazilian fans. Unfortunately, he has no control over this. Sorry.”
Drake and 21 Savage are scheduled to go on a tour at the end of this year, but as of right now, Brazilian fans are out of luck since the dates only travel to North America!
