Apparently in response to the Spice Girl's plea for increased financial support, Eddie Murphy has agreed to give Melanie Brown (also known as Mel B) extra child support for their kid, according to sources.
Murphy dated. Brown and Angel Iris Murphy Brown, who is now 15 years old, had a daughter during their nine-month relationship, which ended in 2006.
According to reports, the actor will now pay Mel $35 (£31.5k) every month in child support, an increase of $10k (£9k) from what he was reportedly doing before.
Until date, Murphy has contributed $25k (£21k), which adds up to $300k (£270k) annually. This arrangement was established after their paternity dispute in 2009.
However, after Brown highlighted a change in her own salary, the parents reportedly agreed to a new child support agreement, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail.
The extra $10,000 is due to Murphy being included in the file as a "extraordinarily high earner."Beginning in October 2021, the increased payment amount will be made until Angel becomes 18 years old.
According to court filings, "The parties agree that Respondent (Murphy) is a "extraordinarily high earner." The amount of child support indicated below has been determined based on the minor kid's "reasonable needs."
The papers go on to say that starting on October 1, 2021, Respondent must start paying Petitioner $35,000 per month in Angel's name as child support.Child support is required on the first day of every month and must be paid via wire transfer.
However, the petition does specify that Brown is responsible for any 'add-on' charges, such as those for extracurricular activities, healthcare, or educational costs.
In October 2020, pop diva Brown initially filed the paperwork asking additional financial aid, claiming that her personal income had "dramatically diminished."The documents stated that, up until recently, Melanie had the good fortune to have a career that allowed her to support a comfortable way of life for herself and Angel.
Unfortunately, Melanie's income has drastically decreased, forcing her to consider for the first time changing child support.
The revised agreement is a "non-guideline child support order," which means that it can be changed without "a material change of circumstances."As Brown is also a mother to Phoenix, 23, and Madison, the youngest, 11, Angel is one of three siblings.
After Angel's birth, a paternity test was required, and a court-ordered DNA test later proved that Murphy was definitely Angel's father. When he first acknowledged paternity, Murphy said he and his ex-girlfriend Brown had come to a $7 million (£6.3 million) paternity settlement.
