Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, the third-eldest child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was just sent off to Spelman College, a private, historically black, women's liberal arts college in Atlanta, Georgia.
On Sunday, the Academy Award-winning actress announced the news on Instagram."Zahara with her sisters from Spelman!" A picture of Zahara and five of her classmates was captioned by Jolie. "I'm happy for all of the new pupils that are starting this year. a very special location and a privilege to have a relative join the Spelman girls.The Watch The Yard TikTok account also released a video of Jolie learning the Electric Slide in Los Angeles with alumni from Spelman and Morehouse. This account bills itself as the hub of Black college, fraternity, and sorority news and culture.Before giving one of the other participants a fist bump, the 47-year-old mother of six is seen smiling and hugging her daughter, who is 17 years old.
In 2005, when she was dating her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie adopted Zahara when she was just six months old from an orphanage in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. Soon after, Pitt legally changed the couple's last names from Jolie to Jolie-Pitt and adopted Zahara and her older brother Maddox, who is now 20.
Despite the fact that Maddox and his brother Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt are no longer minors, Jolie and Pitt have been engaged in a contentious custody dispute over their six children since their divorce in 2016. A source told Us Weekly earlier this year that Pitt believed Jolie hoped the kids "would want nothing to do with" him once they're grown up, but he wouldn't give up fighting for them.
