Will Smith, the actor and musician, knew he couldn't get away from Saturday Night Live just six days after his controversial slap of Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards. And with their mockery of Smith, SNL did not disappoint.SNL tore into last weekend's slap seen around the world roughly 30 minutes after the show began on Saturday night. It all begins with a seat filler who is enthralled by the prospect of sitting next to Will Smith, his childhood hero.

"Oh no way, Will Smith," remarked the seat filler, played by Jerrod Carmichael, Saturday's host. He kept conversing with Chris Redd, who played Smith in this skit."Thank you, man, that means a lot, haha," Smith says in response.

"Excuse me, Mr. Smith; I know I'm not meant to talk to you; I'm just a seat filler, but I just wanted to tell you that I'm a tremendous fan, guy."Carmichael's character continues by expressing his happiness and claiming that Smith's films had "inspired" him.

"That's what it's all about, lol," Smith chuckled.

"Getting Jiggy With It" is still "my ringtone to this day," according to Carmichael.

"That is hilarious," Smith responds.

Carmichael states that meeting Smith is the most exciting night of his life, and that Chris Rock is directly behind them on stage. The Chris Rock joke about Jada Pinkett Smith could be heard in the background as Carmichael reaches for his phone to take a selfie with Smith, which Smith had agreed to.

As he exits his seat and looks to move toward the stage, Smith laughs and adds, "I'll be right back, man."

Meanwhile, Carmichael was beaming from ear to ear as he saw his "hero" make his way to the stage. As he watched Smith slam Chris Rock on the stage, his smile morphed into a thoughtful, inquisitive expression. Smith returns to his seat and resumes the talk as if nothing had happened.

"So, where are you from?" Smith inquires. The two exchanged a few words before Smith shouts at the other.stage. "Don't say anything about my wife's name!"

Smith returned to the seat filler right away, remarking, "Man, I adore the Academy Awards. Man, I adore movies. I recently saw Paddington 2, and it is without a doubt the best film I have ever seen." Smith then abruptly came to a halt and yelled at the audience, "Keep my wife's name out of your (expletive) mouth!"

"How about that selfie?" Smith replies calmly as he turns to the seat filler.

Lst Sunday (March 27, 2022), Smith got up from his seat at the Oscars and walked on stage to hit Chris Rock, who made a joke about Smith's wife. "Jada, love you, G.I. Jane 2—can't wait to see it," Rock said, referring to Jada's lack of hair.

Will Smith stormed the stage and slapped the comedian in front of a global audience. Will Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a result of the incident, which received widespread media attention.

"Chris [Rock], his family, many of my good friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global viewers at home are among those I have injured," Smith stated. "I betrayed the Academy's trust. I took away the opportunity for other nominees and winners to celebrate and be recognized for their outstanding efforts. I'm devastated."

The news shocked not only the entertainment industry, but the entire world.Chris Rock is a cast member and writer from Saturday Night Live. According to the website for the show, he worked on it from seasons 16 to 18.
