See this amazing video to see the eruption of Mount Merapi on the island of Java, which sent huge, dark clouds of gas into the skies as scorching lava crept toward the communities below.
The video is really insane!! On Saturday, a volcano in Indonesia erupted in a dreadful mushroom cloud of heavy smoke and ash that engulfed the sky.
The startling spectacle brought to mind a nuclear bomb. Fortunately, no casualties were initially reported on the island, which is home to 151.6 million people. Of course, that is subject to change.
Despite this, the government ordered that mining and tourism operations in the nearby communities be suspended because to the noxious gases and bubbling magma.
Just a little information on Mount Merapi: it is thought to be the most active of Indonesia’s more than 120 volcanoes and has historically left a path of devastation and death.
At than 300 individuals were killed when the volcano erupted back in 2010, and numerous towns were left homeless.
