Ukraine and Russia have confirmed that new in-person discussions will take place this week; Turkey has said that the meeting will take place in Istanbul.
Prior to the discussions, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his government is "attentively" evaluating a Russian request for neutrality.
During a speech in which he declared President Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power," US President Joe Biden clarified that he was not advocating for regime change in Russia.

According to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, NATO's goal is not to depose Putin from power.
