On Mother's Day, former President Barack Obama honors his wife, Michelle.
Obama offered a lovely statement commemorating his children's mother in a sweet family photo featuring the couple beaming alongside their two daughters, Sasha and Malia. Obama stood with his daughters in the peaceful outdoor environment, dressed casually in a button-down shirt and khakis with his arms around them.
"Greetings, Mothers! I hope you all express your gratitude for the mothers and mother figures in your lives. Thank you for being such a wonderful mother and role model for our daughters and so many others around the world, @MichelleObama "He penned an essay.Marian Shields Robinson, who has also served as a guiding light for her grandkids, was honored on the former first lady's own Instagram page.
"Congratulations on Mother's Day!" Sasha and Malia Obama, together with their mother and grandmother, were included in the flashback shot, which Obama captioned. "I'm grateful to my mother for instilling in me her love, advice, and care. Over the years, I've shared a lot of her knowledge with my girls."Both Obama daughters are well on their way to maturity and are pursuing their aspirations in Los Angeles.Sasha Obama, 20, was reportedly sighted in West Hollywood with her rumored lover Clifton Powell Jr. According to the Daily Mail, Sasha recently transferred from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California. Malia Obama, her older sister, is a staff writer on a Donald Glover Amazon Prime project. In 2021, she graduated from Harvard University.
Both young women have been involved in Black Lives Matter protests. Last year, Obama told CNN's Anderson Cooper that his children are "so more wiser, more intellectual, and gifted than I was at their age." While he is concerned about his girls' physical safety ("it's just the nature of fatherhood," he remarked), he is proud of their social and political choices.
"I don't worry about children having a solid sense of right and wrong, and their part and function to play in making the country better," he remarked.
