Kim Jong Un may have COVID-19, according to the North Korean leader's sister.
She claimed that despite being "very unwell with a high temperature," her brother continued to assist the nation.
COVID-19 is frequently described as a "fever" in North Korea.
As the nation faced its COVID-19 outbreak, Kim Jong Un's sister claimed that her brother was "very ill" with a fever.
According to The Guardian, Kim Yo Jong described her brother as being unable to lie down for even a brief period while suffering from a bad illness and a high temperature because of the people he had to care for till the end of the anti-epidemic fight.
She did not state that the fever was COVID-19 specifically.
More than two years after the virus initially began to circulate worldwide, the secretive country only made its first COVID-19 case public in May of this year. It had argued up to that point that the virus was not present there.
According to the government's announcement last week, 74 individuals have passed away since late April while around 4.77 million people who had "a fever" had recovered.
According to the BBC, Kim Jong Un hailed a "shining victory" over the virus and said that limitations would be abolished.
The most influential lady in North Korea is Kim Yo Jong, yet little is known about her personal life.
She received a promotion in September 2021 and is now a part of the highest decision-making body in North Korea.
According to the BBC, she cited South Korean leaflets as the cause of the coronavirus epidemic in North Korea on Wednesday.
