Just a polite reminder that Harvey Weinstein and the #MeToo movement are the subjects of Brad Pitt's upcoming film.
We Got This Covered provided the content.
The next movie based on the Harvey Weinstein investigation that caused such a stir in Hollywood is titled She Said. Fans are outraged after learning that Brad Pitt is a member of the production team for this movie, which features women standing up to their abusers.
After hearing allegations that he assaulted his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and her family on a private plane in 2016, fans are labeling him hypocritical. In a lawsuit, Jolie accused Pitt of allegedly spilling wine on their children and suffocating them, almost drawing the attention of the FBI.
The former couple reportedly clashed after Weinstein requested Pitt to produce his 2012 movie, Killing Them Softly, according to People. Jolie has stated that Pitt's choice saddened her and that she would never want to be affiliated with a movie that had Weinstein tied to it.
Combining two and two, supporters aren't overly excited by the revelation.
Women Talking, directed by Pitt and starring Frances McDormand, Claire Foy, and Jessie Buckley, is another upcoming film that deals with a group of women who have atrocities committed against them. It goes without saying that these accusations don't make Pitt appear particularly good.
The New York Times reporters who revealed Harvey Weinstein's history of sexual misconduct are followed by She Said. Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan play two investigative journalists in the film. At this year's CinemaCon, the movie received its debut screening. The movie is also based on the 2019 publication of the book written by the two journalists who covered Weinstein's misdeeds.
The movie She Said premieres on November 18, 2022.
