In a speech Monday in West Palm Beach, Florida, Donald Trump said that "nuclear" is one of two n-words in the English language that shouldn't "ever be used," adding "you know what the one is" in regard to the second.
The former president was speaking to a gathering of Club 45, which bills itself as a "independent group" established in January 2018 to back Trump.
The former president talked about the possibility of nuclear war after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 during his speech.
Trump stated, "Nuclear was a word that was never supposed to be used. It is so awful that we don't even want to talk about it." "We have two n-words, and you should never use any of them. I once stated it, and they responded by saying, "Oh what a terrible thing to say.""
Trump added, appearing to make reference to the racist epithet: "We have two n-words; you already know what one is, but the other is the nuclear word, which is never, ever, ever supposed to be uttered! Today, it is brought up every single day."
President Biden's unexpected trip to Kyiv on Monday, which occurred before the president visited East Palestine, Ohio, the site of a deadly chemical train derailment on February 3, drew criticism from Donald Trump. The president is currently traveling to Ukraine, while Ohioans are in urgent need of assistance, according to Trump.
Putin, who "never ever would have gone into Ukraine if I were president," according to Trump, and he have a "really good connection."
The Republican continued, saying it "may be the toughest issue I've ever been asked as a politician" to determine if he trusts the Russian president or the US intelligence community more.
During a rally at his Florida club Mar-a-Lago, Trump declared in November that he will run for president again. He also attacked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Monday, who hasn't declared his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination but is seen as Trump's most reputable opponent in the GOP primary.
In reference to a speech DeSantis delivered earlier that day in New York, he said: "You are aware that Ron DeSanctimonious attracted 139 people to Staten Island today. We received about 30 times 139. There are many individuals present."
In response, DeSantis said: "I always say hit your enemy a little bit early, some people say don't but I say do." The audience in DeSantis' home state chuckled at Trump's remarks.
