Coachella is receiving a six-figure fine for exceeding the curfew because late-night performances at the music festival were not limited to Frank Ocean.
According to a representative for the City of Indio, where Coachella is held, the first weekend's fines for curfew infractions totaled $117,000, according to TMZ.
Curfew, as stated, is midnight on Sunday and 1 AM on Friday and Saturday. Coachella missed the deadline on all three nights, going over by 25 minutes on Friday, 22 minutes on Saturday, and 25 minutes on Sunday.

Frank Ocean mentioned the curfew during his Sunday headline performance, as we previously reported. He arrived late, kicked up his performance at 11 PM, and ended it with a stale one-liner. Guys, the concert is over since I've been told it's curfew.
Officials from the City of Indio claim that the fines are a requirement of their contract with Goldenvoice, which stipulates that there will be a daily fine of $20,000 for the first five minutes after curfew and an additional $1,000 for each additional minute.
The $117,000 in fines goes into Indio's General Fund, and from what we've been informed, the city utilizes it to cover running expenses for the police, fire, and public works departments.
Although the curfews were earlier in prior agreements, the current deal between Coachella and Indio has been in effect since 2013 and continues through 2050. The previous arrangement required a curfew of midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and an 11 PM curfew on Sundays.
