According to the president's office and Polish media, President Volodymyr Zelensky has crossed the border into Poland to start an official visit to his nation's neighbor and one of its closest allies.
Zelensky is scheduled to arrive at the Presidential Palace at 11:00 a.m. local time, according to Marcin Przydacz, director of Ukraine's Presidential Office of Foreign Strategy, who spoke to TVN24 in Poland.
At 6:00 p.m. local time, the presidents of Poland and Ukraine are anticipated to deliver a joint speech.
Zelensky is traveling with his wife, unlike his prior trips overseas since Russia started its invasion of Ukraine.
The Polish president, Andrzej Duda, and the Polish prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, will both meet with the Ukrainian president during his visit to sign bilateral agreements.
Also, he will have meetings with Polish businesspeople participating in the Ukrainian-Polish Business Forum, the heads of Poland's upper and lower houses of parliament, and mayors of Ukrainian border cities.
