Steve Harvey discusses his daughter Lori Harvey's newly single status following her breakup with Michael B. Jordan. The 65-year-old was asked how he is doing after the news of the couple's breakup broke on Monday's Steve Harvey Morning Show by his co-hosts.
"I'm alright," Steve stated. "I'm alright," says the narrator. It ain't going to change anything in my life. I still have to report to work. I still have to round these turns, and I still have to look after my family. I still need to save money for these grandkids."
"I heard about it," the Family Feud host continued. "You know, I just want to wish him luck."
Steve, on the other hand, stated that when it comes to choosing sides, he will always prioritize his family.
"I'm on Lori's side." I'm 100 totally on Lori's side. She is my child. She is one of my favorite people. I agree with her. Things happen, as I always tell everyone. "It's difficult to be young and famous while also having a successful relationship," he remarked.
"Look, as long as everyone can go in peace, we can be friends." I assume I haven't heard anyone say they broke any windows or anything like that "He made a point. "I don't give a damn what you do as long as you don't touch my daughter."
Steve went on to say that he had no animosity toward the Creed star. He said, "He's still a cool man." "Based on what I've heard, it's a split." I'm confident they'll be alright."
Steve, who has been married three times, joked that his daughter's divorce has taught him a valuable lesson. "I need to start learning from my kids," he joked. "Get out of here as soon as possible before it costs you something." I waited far too long.""I'm going to have to start breaking up on Instagram since going to court is expensive," he continued.
Steve's remarks come only one day after Michael made his first public appearance since the breakup at Game 2 of the NBA Finals in California.Michael, 35, and Lori, 25, broke their romance after just over a year of dating, according to ET. "Lori and Michael recently ended their relationship. They were at various points in their life "a shared source "They're both devastated and upset, but they're both trying to go on."
Lori and Michael announced their separation three months after making their red carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in November. The duo wasn't afraid to flaunt their love throughout their relationship.
Steve awarded the A Journal for Jordan actor his seal of approval in 2021, shortly after the duo affirmed their love.
