Bill Gates has revealed that he tested positive for Covid-19.

On Twitter, the prominent vaccine proponent stated that he is "experiencing moderate symptoms" and that he is "following the experts' advise by isolating till I'm well again." "I'm fortunate to have been vaccinated and boosted," Gates remarked.

The billionaire Microsoft founder also revealed on Tuesday that the Gates Foundation is "coming together" for the first time in two years, and that he'll be seeing them digitally on Microsoft Teams (where else?).

"We will continue to engage with partners and do everything we can to ensure that none of us ever has to cope with another pandemic," he said.

Gates has frequently discussed pandemic preparedness and mitigation initiatives. Late this year, he addressed CNN International anchor Becky Anderson about his expectations for stopping the Covid-19 pandemic by 2023. He believes that, thanks to increased vaccination availability, the world "will not experience the level of disruption we have experienced for the first three years of this."

The Gates Foundation has pledged at least $1.75 billion to help fight Covid-19 around the world.

Last week, Bill Gates released his new book, "How to Prevent the Next Pandemic."
