After their disastrous relationship, Kanye West and Gap are still at odds, and things have now gotten heated with a $2 million lawsuit.
Gap wants Kanye to pay for any losses it might incur in a lawsuit, according to fresh legal documents acquired by USWEB24, since they believe Ye and his business are to blame for their current predicament.
Regarding that situation, Art City Center, a business that claims to own a building in downtown Los Angeles that Gap leased as a storefront for Kanye West's clothing line, is suing Gap.
When Gap was promoting the Yeezy collaboration in 2021 and 2022, Art City Center claims the facility underwent numerous prohibited changes. The company is suing Gap for the expense to repair the property. In essence, Gap is trying to shift the blame to Kanye.
According to the lawsuit, Gap and Kanye agreed that they would not be responsible for any accusations like this that might be made against them.
Gap is suing Kanye for more than $2 million, which naturally includes the sum the firm believes it will be penalized due to the Yeezy store as well as a bit extra for Gap's legal costs.
As we previously mentioned, Kanye ended his collaboration with Gap in September, claiming the brand betrayed him by making hollow promises.
We contacted Kanye's team, but have not heard from them
