Elon Musk is expressing his opinions on Donald Trump's chances of remaining in politics.

Musk, 51, wrote on Monday, "I don't dislike the man, but it's time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset," in reaction to a new video showing former president Trump, 76, labeling the Tesla CEO "another bulls—- artist" at an Alaska rally on Saturday.

Dems ought to cease their onslaught as well; don't make it so that Trump can only survive by winning the presidency once more, he continued.

Musk also responded to a Twitter user who posted a list of actions taken by Trump as president that the person found to be good: "Yes, but the drama is too much. Do we really want to be in a bull in a china shop every day?"

Musk continued, "I also believe the legal maximum age for the start of a Presidential term should be 69."Another person commented on Musk's assessment of Trump, saying, "I say Trump/DeSantis 2024 DeSantis 2028/32," and adding that he was "a little astonished" to hear that.

Trump would be 82 at the conclusion of his tenure, which, according to Musk, is too elderly to be the leader of any organization, let alone the United States of America.

Trump's remarks coincided with reports that Musk had ended his $44 billion contract with Twitter, claiming the business had violated "many terms" of the original contract. (The Twitter Board said in a statement supplied to PEOPLE on Friday, "We intend to take legal action to enforce the merger agreement and are dedicated to completing the deal on the terms and price established with Mr. Musk. In the Delaware Court of Chancery, we are sure we will win ")

In reference to the Twitter agreement, Trump stated of Musk's recent assertion that he "may never have voted for a Republican" in the past, "He's created himself a mess," adding, "He told me he voted for me," I said.

Before pulling out of his Twitter agreement, Musk stated in May that he would lift the lifetime ban imposed on Trump after the Capitol riots if his deal to buy the social media network went through as planned.

"Permanent bans need to be exceedingly uncommon and should only be used to spam, scam, or bot accounts. I do believe that Donald Trump's ban was improper "According to a CNBC story, Musk remarked at the Future of the Car conference hosted by FT Live. "I think that was a mistake because it alienated a significant portion of the nation and did not ultimately prevent Donald Trump from having a voice," the speaker said.

But he was careful to point out that he didn't yet own Twitter.

Musk continued, "I would lift the indefinite restriction." "I don't yet have Twitter. Since I don't own Twitter, this isn't something that will absolutely happen."
