Late last year, the 'Britain's Got Talent' star proposed to Lauren Silverman, with whom he shares an eight-year-old son Eric, and it's now been revealed that the couple will marry in front of friends and family in London in a few weeks.
"Simon can't wait to be married to Lauren and didn't see the sense in delaying it," a source told The Sun's Bizarre column."He's in charge of the planning, and June has been established as the date.
"The wedding will be held in London, with their son Eric in the spotlight."
"Simon and Lauren are excited to tie the knot with their loved ones.
"It's been a long time coming, and Simon is eager to see Lauren walk down the aisle as soon as possible."
The 62-year-old recording entrepreneur, who has been dating Lauren since 2013, recently stated that he was planning the couple's wedding because he didn't want things to get "out of hand."
"I'm organizing everything," he added. "If I don't, I know what will happen: there will be 600 people, and it will go out of hand, just like my 50th birthday celebration."
"No one knows when it'll happen – even Lauren will be surprised."
"However, I don't want one of those dreadful wedding planners, with all the squabbles over who to invite and who not to invite."
"It all appears to be a lot of trouble."
The coronavirus epidemic, Simon previously stated, convinced him that he and Lauren should marry.
"If I'm being completely honest with you, I've kind of felt myself engaged for a long time." For many couples, lockdown and COVID were likely make or break.
"After living together for nearly a year, I realized that we get along really, really well." And, as Eric gets older, he'll be asked more and more questions about his parents, so I believed it was the correct thing to do for him."
