The Met Gala red carpet is usually filled with actors, musicians, and reality stars, but tennis pros were also in attendance at last night's event, which celebrates the world of fashion.
The Met Gala is a fundraising event hosted by fashion magazine Vogue to benefit the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with this year's theme being In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki walked the red carpet together, Williams dressed in a black outfit with braided hair that reached her knees.Despite the fact that she hasn't officially resigned from tennis, she and her sister Serena Williams are no longer seen on the WTA circuit, leading to suspicion that the duo would retire sooner rather than later.
Williams, on the other hand, compared her Met Gala preparation to her tennis match preparation.
"I think there's less breakfast at the Met because you're trying to cram everything in," the 41-year-old explained to E!:Met Gala.
"However, if I'm playing a match, I eat spaghetti at 8 a.m."
