He answers fans' questions and gives advice from his decades-long career as a world-class bodybuilder and movie star in his newsletter. According to him, it is critical to be able to accept criticism in order for one to grow and improve. As a seven-time Mr. Olympia, he believes that this lesson can be applied to any area of life, drawing from his own experiences.Bodybuilding legend Reg Park once gave him some criticism, which he initially took to be harsh but later realized was actually constructive. He wrote, "I actually love hearing criticism because that's how we improve," and he shared a story about that experience.

He measured my calves and biceps when I went to train with Reg Park, my hero from childhood. Arnold, your calves are 19 inches and your biceps are 21 inches.' You may win Mr. Universe this way, but you won't be able to make it all the way to the top. It's time for you to work on your calves. Walking is like a 250-pound calf raise. So, if you want to get bigger, you'll need to lift as much weight as possible and do 10-15 sets a day.'"

'Because I was still so young,' I thought, 'I'm Mr. Universe; why is he beating me up?'" Schwarzenegger was brought back to his senses. Nonetheless, I put my pride aside and listened to him. My calves were worked to the limit. At 700 pounds, I was doing 15 sets of calf raises every day. I was doing donkey raises on them while half the gym was on my back. I checked everything. I was ferocious in my efforts. It worked out exactly as Reg Park predicted, and I'm very happy with the results. My body was more balanced as a result of having 21-inch calves. Naturally, I expressed my gratitude to Reg for his guidance. Despite the fact that it was initially painful to hear, it ultimately had a positive effect.me better, and I've learned to let go of my ego and be appreciative of feedback."This is how he approaches his role as a commentator during the Arnold Classic, Schwarzenegger said, adding that he approached the judges after each of his shows to ask for feedback on how to improve.

When it comes to bodybuilding, "Bodybuilders (hell, everyone) love to focus on their strengths, when we grow most by doing the opposite," he said. "Consequently, I hope that my criticism of tummies and calves will be like Reg Park's for me. The only way I learned to be a better person was through receiving constructive criticism."
