FIFA World Cup draw: Spain and Germany to face off in mouth-watering group stage match

1

After the draw for the 2022 World Cup was completed on Friday in Doha, Spain and Germany will face off in the opening match of the group stages.

The Spanish and Germans are joined by Japan, Costa Rica, or New Zealand in Group E, with the final playoff match set for June 13 or 14.

Germany will be looking for a different outcome from the first meeting between the two sides, in which Spain thrashed Germany 6-0 in the Nations League in 2020.

Qatar, along with the Netherlands and Senegal, will play Ecuador in the World Cup's opening match.  After being accepted to the 2019 Copa America, Qatar has just recently had experience playing South American nations. The Qataris performed admirably, forcing Argentina to fight hard for a 2-0 victory and a well-earned point against Paraguay.
France, the World Cup winners in 2018 and 1998, was placed in Group D alongside Denmark, Tunisia, and the winner of an Intercontinental play-off — either Australia, the United Arab Emirates, or Peru.2018 semifinalists England will face the United States, Iran, and one of Wales, Scotland, or Ukraine in Group B.
The last time England played the United States at a World Cup was in 2010, and it's still a contest that gives English supporters nightmares.
After Steven Gerrard had opened the score for England, a disastrous error by then-goalkeeper Rob Green allowed the Americans an equalizer.

After being drawn in Group H alongside Uruguay, Ghana has been granted a chance at a form of retribution.

In the dying seconds of their quarterfinal in 2010, Luis Suarez famously used his hands to block Dominic Adiyiah's goalbound shot.Suarez celebrated by racing down the tunnel when Asamoah Gyan missed the ensuing opportunity, and Uruguay advanced to the semifinals after a penalty shootout. South Korea and Portugal complete Group H in what may be one of the more difficult groups to forecast, with Cristiano Ronaldo expected to play in his final World Cup.
Lionel Messi's last World Cup for Argentina will likely be in Qatar in 2022. The 34-year-old, like Ronaldo, has never won the World Cup, but came agonizingly close to doing so in 2014, losing in the final to Germany.
The Argentines are in a much stronger position under Lionel Scaloni than they were in Russia four years ago, and they will be optimistic of progressing out of a group that includes Mexico, Poland, and Saudi Arabia.

Canada's prize for qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in 36 years is a matchup with two of Europe's most prominent players in recent years. Belgium, the world's long-time leader until recently dethroned by Brazil, and 2018 finalists Croatia will be tMorocco, with excellent players like Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech and PSG's Achraf Hakimi, will be a force to be reckoned with.
The ceremony, which was attended by 2,000 people, was hosted by actor Idris Elba and sportscaster Reshmin Chowdhury.
Former footballers Carli Lloyd, Jermaine Jenas, and Samantha Johnson, a renowned sports broadcaster, led the draw.

Cafu of Brazil, Lothar Matthäus of Germany, Ali Daei of Iran, Jay-Jay Okocha of Nigeria, and Tim Cahill of Australia were among the players that assisted them.ough opponents.
